Positive Parenting Program (Triple P)

NC recognizes the critical role that families play in school readiness and has made a strong commitment to invest in family strengthening programs. To support this, the Division of Public Health, in partnership with Triple P America implemented Triple P in 19 northeastern NC counties, including the Transformation Zone counties. Triple P is a universal multilevel parenting program that aims to reduce the prevalence of child emotional, behavioral, and mental health problems. Triple P gives parents simple and practical strategies to help them confidently manage their children’s behavior, prevent problems from developing and build strong, healthy relationships. Triple P is currently used in 25 countries and has been shown to work across cultures, socio-economic groups and in all kinds of family structures.

This project was completed May 2016.
