Develop and Offer Technical Assistance Endorsement

The North Carolina Institute for Child Development Professionals developed a Technical Assistance Practitioners Endorsement (TAE) which is now available to qualified professionals who provide technical assistance services such as consulting, coaching, on-site support and mentoring to NC's early educators and early care and education programs in the state. Currently over 100 early educators who work in these roles have been certified and received this specialty endorsement. Funding was used to support the development and field-testing of the TAE and outreach to the field to increase awareness of the availability of the TA Practitioner Competencies and the TAE, its use and benefits. Another RTT-ELC funded continuing education course, The Art of Coaching and Mentoring and Technical Assistance, was provided for TA Practioners who work in the NC Child Care Resource & Referral system to provide information on NC's TAE Practitioner Competencies and Strategies.

This Activity will continue beyond the RTT-ELC grant and was supported by the grant through October 2015.
