The NC Early Childhood Integrated Data System built an early childhood data system that integrates high quality education, health, and social service data from participating state agencies to better inform early childhood policies and programs in North Carolina. The ECIDS will link to NC’s longitudinal data system P-20W (Pre-K to age 20/ workforce).

The North Carolina Early Learning and Development Standards, Foundations, was revised and distributed.

This project provided technical assistance, training and resources to selected two and four year institutes of higher education to support articulation of early care and education coursework and degrees. 

This Activity supported grant partners in identifying professional development opportunities that coordinate and align with existing early childhood professional development efforts.

This project is creating a new measurement tool for the NC Star Rated License that addresses critical aspects of program quality related to children's outcomes and is specifically suited for use in the revised TQRIS. NC is leading a consortium of states to develop and pilot-test the new quality assessment tool.

The NC Star Rated License Validation Study provided information on revisions to the Star Rated License System so that the tiers meaningfully differentiate levels of quality in early learning programs that correspond to children’s growth and development.

This Activity provided reduced fees for Certification and TA Endorsements to encourage full participation in the system.

This Activity provided an online Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Program Leadership and Management through NC’s higher education system.

The Positive Parenting Program (Triple P) is an evidence-based family strengthening program working with 19 counties in northeastern NC, including the Transformation Zone, to increase the knowledge, skills, and confidence of parents.

This Activity offered incentives to Early Learning and Development programs that implement specific staff development policies and practices.
